A GREAT LOSS 

THE PASSING OF THOMAS PUYANS 48C’  
May 7, 1928 - February 1, 2022

“Today our Foundation sadly recognizes the passing of our VFMAC brother, Thomas Puyans 48C’.  Known by many names; Colonel, General, Sir, Pappa, Tommy.  He was a fixture at Valley Forge for over 50 years in many different positions.  His decades of recruiting and mentoring Latin American cadets had the greatest impact on our Alma Mater.  He was there for all cadets.  He was present on campus every day with a smile on his face to encourage every cadet.  He was the most honorable man, respectful and a true gentleman.  RIP brother, you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. A proper hand salute to you Sir!”
